He is the author and illustrator of the acclaimed Sibley series of nature guides, including the New York Times bestseller The Sibley Guide to Birds, a trusted companion for birders across North America.
Sibley’s art and writing have appeared in Smithsonian, Science, Birding, BirdWatching, The Wilson Journal of Ornithology, North American Birds, and The New York Times. His contributions to birding and natural history have earned him the American Birding Association’s Roger Tory Peterson Award for Lifetime Achievement and the Linnaean Society of New York’s Eisenmann Medal.
Through his unmistakable illustrations and keen observations of the natural world, Sibley has helped generations of people look more closely at birds and deepen their connection to the world just outside their doors.
