General Donation

The Highlands Center is funded entirely through memberships, donations and grants. Your gift helps the dedicated education staff develop innovative year-round programs designed to introduce people of all ages to the wonder of the Central Highlands of Arizona, and teach them what it takes to be wise caretakers of the land.

Schoolyard Habitat Program (Tax Credit)

The Schoolyard Habitat program brings natural science exploration to local schools.

Schoolyard Habitat restores under-utilized spaces of school campuses into diverse, native habitats and outdoor classrooms, encouraging students to learn about scientific concepts through experience. By design, these lively spaces inspire learners to experience the awe and wonder of nature. Using standards-based science lessons, Highlands Center staff, alongside classroom teachers, empower students to become wise caretakers of the land and cultivate a sense of place through immersion in central highlands ecology and reflection in the outdoors.

Sustaining Donor (Healthy Roots)

Monthly Giving Program

This program allows for a modest monthly gift to become part of a strong foundation that helps us sustain our programs. These “Roots” will feed and sustain our programs, facilities and future growth. These gifts provide a consistent flow of revenue that sustains our operations.

Sustaining Donors make a monthly donation of at least $13.00 that is withdrawn directly from a bank account or charged to credit or debit card.

Legacy Circle

Gift Planning Program

Generous donations make it possible able to maintain our beautiful facilities, continue to plan and implement growth, and evolve to meet the educational needs of the members and the community we serve. The Legacy Circle is unique group of individuals that have remembered the Highlands Center in their estate plans. Gift planning does not require great wealth nor does it need to be complicated.

Juniper Fund

Educational Giving Program

Juniper Fund contributions are used exclusively for educational scholarships for our children’s programs. We never want to turn a child away from our program because of finances. This fund makes it possible for us to say “yes”!

Memorial, tributes, birthday and anniversary contributions may be made to the Highlands Center’s Juniper Fund. Donations to this fund are a wonderful way to honor a loved one or remember a special day.
