The five distinct seasons of Arizona will be explored through this program, highlighting the unique characteristics and weather patterns that define each one. From the dry heat of early summer to the dramatic monsoon season and cooler winter months, each season offers something different. The state’s diverse geography—from deserts to high mountains—also plays a significant role in shaping the weather experienced across the region.

Lee Born is a Flagstaff-based meteorologist with 25 years of experience. After starting in the U.S. Navy and earning a degree from San Jose State University, he built a career in aviation and broadcast meteorology. He now works with KNAU, helping Northern Arizona residents understand everyday weather.
