Join us at the Highlands Center and experience our area after dark beneath the glow of the Beaver Moon. As November settles into the Central Highlands and we move into true winter join a Highlands Center Staff Naturalist for a guided evening hike through the ponderosa pines and discover a landscape transformed by moonlight.
On our hike together under the beaver moon, we’ll slow our pace, let our eyes adjust to the darkness, listen for the sounds of the night, and explore how plants, wildlife, and people respond to the changing seasons of fall into winter. Come experience familiar trails in an entirely different way and enjoy the wonder of a fall night under the full moon. This one will be special, as the Beaver Moon is one of 3 supermoons that occur annually!
All ages and abilities are welcome. Registration is required.
Suggested gear: sturdy, comfortable shoes, hiking or walking sticks if desired, and a red-light flashlight or headlamp to help preserve night vision.
