About our Venues

Hold your event in nature

The Highlands Center’s beautiful, tranquil campus is a 15-minute drive from downtown Prescott or Prescott Valley, Arizona, off Highway 69 near Costco and surrounding stores and many hotels. Its 80-acre campus is surrounded by millions of acres of Prescott National Forest land. We are the only location in the area offering such well-maintained natural beauty, all the amenities you need, and close proximity to restaurants and accommodations for your out of town guests. All of our venue rentals and restrooms are ADA-accessible. The Highlands Center is a non-smoking environment.

Venue rentals of the Highlands Center’s facilities helps fund the ongoing educational and inventive nature-based programs for our community.

Kieckhefer Ramada in the Discovery Gardens

Our open-air covered ramada, nestled in the James Family Discovery Gardens, is an intimate outdoor space with sweeping views the woodland landscape. Our ramada is an idyllic location for wedding ceremonies and receptions, corporate events and retreats, cocktail parties, and events of all occasions.

Seats up to 85 people, has an accessible entrance from our lower parking area, integrated projector screen, electrical outlets and proximity to nearby restroom facilities.

Kiwanis Amphitheater

Our open-air covered amphitheater surrounded by beautiful ponderosa pine forest has a built-in stage, aisle, and bench seating, and allows for nature to be the backdrop of your event. Our amphitheater is ideal for outdoor wedding ceremonies, celebrations of life, musical concerts and theatrical performances.

Seats up to 120. Lighting of the stage available. Sound acoustics travel well but a basic PA can be made available upon request.

Kieckhefer Classroom

The natural woods and soft earth tones of our indoor space create a warm, comfortable environment for your event. Vaulted ceilings and clerestory windows allow natural light to fill the room and provide views of the forest. Our classroom is popular for wedding receptions, parties, corporate events and meetings. Renting the Classroom space includes access to our kitchen for the purpose of food, storage, and prep.

Margaret T. Morris Patio

Overlooking the entrance to the Discovery Gardens, our enchanting outdoor patio encircles the James Family Learning Center, connecting to the classroom. Our patio is perfect for cocktail receptions, mixers and summer parties, and is included in your rental of the Kieckhefer Classroom.

Seats up to 85 inside and up to 120 if using outdoor patio – features a projector screen, integrated sound system, outdoor patio access and proximity to a prep kitchen.
