Discovery Saturday

October 30 at 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

FREE

Saturday, October 30th from 9 am-12 pm

For the last Discovery Saturday of the year, the Society of Physics Students from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is visiting the gardens to share their love and knowledge of physics. Learn about the lifetime of a star, the power of a tesla coil, and play with an air bazooka. You can also stop by our Highlands Center discovery stations to learn about natural history topics such as rattlesnakes and animal skulls. This is a free program for the whole family. Visit anytime between 9 am-12 pm.

Note: these walks occur on the unpaved trails at the Highlands Center. These trails have variable grades and roughness. This hike requires stepping off trail onto rocky terrain.  Please contact us if you have concerns.
