Mogollon Highlands Naturalist Certification

A collaboration between the Highlands Center for Natural History and the Natural History Institute

Join a community of active nature lovers intent upon discovering the ecology and natural history of the Mogollon Highlands – an ecological transition zone of continental importance. This unique naturalist certification program is brought to you by the Highlands Center for Natural History and the Natural History Institute in an engaging blend of experiences in the field, scientific collections, and classroom.  Each class is led by knowledgeable professionals with many years of field teaching experience.

Mogollon Highlands Naturalist Certification

This 10-week course is designed to build ecological literacy, stewardship, naturalist skills, and an emotional connection to nature through environmental education, natural history, citizen science, and the arts and humanities.  Saturday field explorations will include up to 2 hours of easy to moderate hiking.

This program is on hiatus right now and will not be occuring in 2020.
