PRESCOTT, AZ –January 17, 2017 – The Highlands Center Nature Camps provide an informative, playful and affordable opportunity to discover the mysteries of the animals, plants, and land of the Highlands. Spring Break Camp runs from March 13-17 with camps for grades 1-2 and 3-4, and our innovative Knee-High Naturalist Club for 3 and 4 year olds, runs Saturdays, March 25 to April 22.
Spring Break Camps, March 13-17: for grades 1-2 and 3-4
Get ready to have a Spring Break spending time with old friends and making new ones through laughter, exploration, and discovery. Explore the Highlands during exciting educational activities, interactive games, individual reflection time, arts and crafts, journaling, and marvelous fun. The Highlands Center’s Spring Break Camps take place on the Highlands Center’s 80-acre campus in the Prescott National Forest, two miles from Highway 69. Camps run from 8am – 4pm, cost is $155 members; $210 non-members. Scholarships are available.
Knee High Naturalist Club, March 25 & April 1, 8, 15, 22: For 3 & 4 year olds only
The Highlands Center offers the only science based, all outdoor nature program for such a young age in the area. Each week we will focus on the biology and life cycle of a specific animal. Children will participate in activities that include physical games, role playing, scavenger hunts, a story, a snack, and a craft. Parents and Guardians are asked to attend and join in the fun and learning. Class is held outside in the forested area of the Community Nature Center, 1980 Williamson Valley Rd., 9:30 – 11:00am, $65.00, 10% discount for members
