Seasons and Cycles in the Highlands for Ages 7-11

PRESCOTT, AZ – September 24, 2015 –
This year F.U.N. (Friends Understanding Nature) campers will venture out into the crisp and fragrant autumn air for a fun-filled and informative exploration of the fascinating seasonal changes life undergoes in the Central Highlands. Fall Break Campers will explore the science of phenology, which examines seasonal cycles in nature, in relation to climate, plant and animal life. “There’s no better place to observe these cycles than our beautiful Highlands Center, and campers enjoy all the major elements of our day camps: exploring, journaling, hiking, lunch by the creek, games, snacks, and fun,” stated Felipe Guerrero, Education Coordinator.

The camp runs October 5 through 9th, from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM daily. Cost is $150 for members and $205 for non-members. An annual family membership costs $45. Exclusive to the Highlands Center, this is an all-day-outside camp, where campers explore the natural world in a safe environment, guided by science education professionals and make discoveries about nature, have fun and make friends that will last a lifetime. Give your children a break from technology and get them out in nature this lovely time of year. Registration is required and scholarships are available. Click here for more information.
