SUMMARY:Peace in the Pines: a Guided Grief Support Journey
DESCRIPTION:Peace in the Pines: A Guided Grief Support Group\nFebruary 5 – March 26\, 2026 \nWe know—both intuitively and through science—that nature is profoundly healing. When we spend time in wild\, quiet places\, something inside us begins to soften\, settle\, and restore. To show up fully for our families\, our communities\, and ourselves\, we must first give ourselves space to reconnect—with our breath\, our grief\, and the natural world.\nThat’s why Peace in the Pines takes place in the heart of the Ponderosa pine forest of Prescott National Forest\, on the grounds of the Highlands Center for Natural History. Here\, you can hear the wind whispering through the tall pines\, feel your footsteps grounding into the earth\, and notice the presence of birds\, Abert’s squirrels\, and other wildlife. This setting is more than a backdrop—it’s an active participant in your healing.\nLogistics:\nTo foster connection and continuity\, Peace in the Pines is a grief group that begins February 5 and concludes March 26 with the same participants throughout. All members join at the beginning and journey through the full program together. The group meets weekly for eight weeks in a supportive\, facilitated setting\, with reflective materials provided for solo time in nature. These outdoor prompts are designed to encourage personal exploration and healing on the beautiful grounds of the Highlands Center. Grief education and open sharing with the group are key elements of every group meeting as well.\nAfter we receive your registration\, a brief pre-screening conversation will be scheduled to ensure the group is a good fit for your current needs and support goals.\nThe total fee for the full program is $20\, which helps offset the cost of the two books you’ll receive as part of the experience \nThis session has reached capacity and registration is closed. Join the waitlist to be notified if a spot opens. \nRegister for the waitlist
