Our art classes are an excellent place for beginners and experienced artists to learn and practice their skills in nature observation and illustration. Classes are offered throughout the year and range from series to a single program.

Spring Unfolding - Colored Pencil Drawing Series

with Diane Iverson

Diane Iverson returns to the Highlands Center in April to instruct this spring-inspired art series. Grow your skills with new techniques by sketching birds, buds, butterflies, bouquets, and other seasonally inspired subjects. 

Participants need to bring the following materials:
9×12 Bristol Vellum drawing pad
Pencil sharpener
Kneaded eraser
Faber Castell or Prismacolor colored pencil set

When: April 8, 10, 12, 15, 17, 19 | 9:00 am-12:00 pm

Where: Highlands Center of Natural History – James Learning Center Classroom and Kieckhefer Ramada

Cost: $25 per class; $132 for the entire series; 10% Discount for Members
