Grow Native Plant Sale

Our biannual Grow Native Plant Sale is an event that celebrates the native Arizona landscape. This event encourages the community to landscape with native and regionally native, low water use plants.  THANK YOU to our Presenting Sponsors the City of Prescott and Prescott Landscape Professionals.

The sale will begin online on August 9th.

Drive-through pick-up is Friday, September 9th and Saturday, September 10th at the Highlands Center from 8 am – 2 pm.

Help Secure $50,000 in Matching Gifts

Our generous anonymous donor has ONCE AGAIN offered to match Annual Appeal contributions given by August 20, 2022, to respond to this need and to sustain our growth. Donations will be matched dollar for dollar up to a total of $25,000 in matching funds!

Another anonymous donor has stepped up in recognition of our service to the community for the past 25 years! This donor has offered $25,000 in matching funds to match donations made directly to our Endowment Fund housed at the Arizona Community Foundation (ACF).

Wander the Wild 2022

Support this year’s 14th annual Wander the Wild by participating in the online auction open to all on September 12-17, or purchase tickets for the live reception and auction on Sunday, September 18, 2:30-5:30pm at the Windmill House in Chino Valley.

Celebrating 25 Years

This year, Highlands Center for Natural History is celebrating 25 years of helping children and adults discover the wonder of nature! Through science-based education and exploration of the Central Highlands of Ariona, we are engaging people of all ages to get in touch with the natural world Throughout 2022, we will celebrate our past by revisiting our roots and founders as well as sharing our vision of a bright future.

Colored Pencil Drawing Series!

Join local illustrator and author, Diane Iverson, for the summer drawing series. Learn and practice colored pencil drawing and leave with finished pieces.

Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from August 22nd–September 2nd, 9 am-12 pm

$30/class for members, $35/class for non-members
