For the Spree, you may do bird watching on your own or join one of our Audubon Society guided walks on the dates and locations listed below. Experienced Audubon Society birders will conduct the bird walks. All ages are welcome on these free, gentle walks.
You can pick up a Birding Spree brochure at the Highlands Center or at the start of each guided walk. Once you have observed 25 out of the 50 identified species, you earn the title of a Highlands Center Birder and are entitled ot a Birding Spree pin. To purchase the pin, visit the Highlands Center store and turn in your completed brochure. The pin is $7.00 for non-members and $5.00 for members of either the Highlands Center or the Prescott Audubon Society. You will also be entered into a drawing for a gift certificate donated by our sponsor, Jay’s Bird Barn. The drawing will take place in late June, so completed forms must be turned in prior to June 20, 2013.
